9/3/11
Today we finished the main editing, that included adding black and white to flashbacks, some more cutting of clips, putting it back in order as it had shifted, adding gun sound effects, fading, slowing the timing of some shots which were too short, adding titles which shazmaa helped me with and adding the images of the establishing shot. Now all that is left to do is the heavy breathing and heartbeat which we still may not add as there has been some debate as is this would take out the sound of the voices or confused the viewer. however, we are now done with editing, we have done 2 weeks worth of editing that we lost in 2 days and just need to evaluate.

8/3/11
We have not yet completed the extra shots we need to complete the film as our actors are still currently unavailable. So we needed to improvise as we have a limited amount of time. What we are going to do instead is have a blackout and a voice speaking over it which will replace the idea of having a telephone scene.

Problems
Our whole film was corrupted on the computer and unfortunately on my usb stick. So today, we had to start our editing again. It was a productive lesson as we managed to select the shots we had used, cut them and have put them in order.
Abdur, Ramish and me decided to use our double free periods to edit as much as we could, we wanted to add the black and white effects as well as the opening credits however there was a problem with the computer and could not save all we done.
Next lesson, we are aiming to complete the opening sequence as we need to add in the special effects, sound effects and the credits.

Possible Actors
When it came to deciding how many actors we were going to have, me we were at first having difficulty deciding what size group we should have. We thought that if there was going to be a group, then more action could take place. However, we thought that if there was going to be more action in it, then we would need more time and it could get slightly confusing for the viewer which is why we decided to have only two people taking part in the film. This is because with two people, it gives the film a more dramatic impact and effect on the audience because the main focus will be on two people which will be less confusing for viewers to understand. Also, if there is too much action, then the genre will be misleading as maybe a thriller or action.

Possible Actors/Models
Abdur – we considered Abdur for a ‘bodyguard’ role. However, we felt this wasn’t needed. It would also be difficult to have him in the film as we may have needed him to film.
Kasim – for the role of the ‘thug’, we needed someone tall, quite scary looking. We ended up choosing Kasim. He was always available and reliable.
Farhaan – we chose Farhaan for the role of the victim. This was because we needed someone who could change the way they looked just by changing their clothes. In some scenes he looks vulnerable and in others he looks confident which is exactly what we were looking for. He was reliable and always there even at short notice.
The actors we chose were a good combination. They were always there, on time, and reliable. They also followed instructions and fitted the roles they played.

07/02/2011 PROBLEMS
Today we occurred a big drawback. We logged onto the mac, opened the document, and it came up with an error message saying we had saved our document on an older version of imove. We tried every possible way to get it back, however, the file must have be corrupted. Luckily we have a copy of our film on Shazmaa's USB, it is not fully edited but will not require too much work. If we didn't have this space copy, we would have had to re-edit everything and then have not met the deadline.
